GALECO, never a great distance back and under strong restraint for five-eighths, responded to mild urging turning into the stretch, took command with a rush and was never threatened in the final eighth. SARAH JUSTICE, away well, was forced to race wide throughout, weaved her way between horses in the drive and closed strongly. GENERAL BOY, racing forwardly from the start, was steered to the inside for the final quarter and, under strong urging throughout the last stages, outgamed DYAK. The latter, racing forwardly from the start, made a bold bid approaching the final quarter, but was in close quarters in the last sixteenth. LIVE ONE, under good rating setting the pace, failed to respond to pressure. BLACK NOSE had no mishaps. EASTER BLOSSOM and THE BREAK had early speed. CATCHALL lacked speed. MAKALAW quit. SILVER PALM, hard hustled from the start, tired. GOLDKIN showed nothing. The latter, never a great distance back and strongly urged in the final drive, made a game bid, but was not good enough. CHARLIE H. moved into command when called upon, continued to set the pace under occasional pressure, but tired in the drive. QUOTUM, -in close quarters and on the inside for the drive, hung in the closing strides. GREEN COUNTRY, never a great distance back, could not improve position in the final drive under urging. BIG BROOK re~ sponded when called upon rounding the far turn, but went wide turning into the stretch. FAIR MOLE had no mishaps. ESCOLEE failed to respond when strongly urged.
