C-NOTE WINS AT COLUMBUS Sonada Stable Silks Triumph in Main Event at Beulah Park — I. J. Collins a Visitor. ! COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 17.— C-Note carried the Sonada Stable colors to his second victory of the present Beulah Park meeting when he captured the Pabst Blue Ribbon Purse, feature event here this afternoon, from a high-class field and ran the six furlongs in 1:12%. Displaying good speed from the start, C-Note raced past Pehamis, the leader to the final furlong, and drew clear near the end. Darby Dean was always third. Bernard F., which was coupled with . Pehamis . as the Collins entry, raced into fourth place and was going strongly at the end. Dusky Prince, from which much was expected, was never a serious factor after breaking very slowly. I. J. Collins was a visitor from Lancaster, Ohio, to witness the running of his entry today, which will serve as a prep for the ,500 Governors Handicap to be run here Saturday. The Collins pair, along with Dusky Prince, worked out to the mile in 1:41 at the end of todays race.
