Atomic Power Works Mile And Furlong in 1:57, Flat SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 21. Three eligibles for Saturdays 5,000 Yankee Handicap were on the track this morning. Trainer M. Happy Buxton sent Rarco Stables Atomic Power a mile and an eighth in 1:57. Junior Buxton, Atomic Powers regular rider, was up on the Bel Aethel colt while accomplishing the move that had the older Buxton smiling as the lad struggled to pull his mount up. Ed Lucas, veteran conditioner, who is readying William Helis Jobstown for his week-end engagement, had the colt out this morning, blowing him out for an eighth of a mile. According to Lucas, Jobstown will be given his final work tomorow morning. Buckley and Locklears Sun Beau Go was sent a mile in company with the stables Buck C. The pair negotiated the distance in 1:46 handily.
