Vanguard of Sid Jacobs Unit Arrives at Atlantic City ATLANTIC CITY, Mays Landing, N. J., May 21. The vanguard of the powerful stable which trainer Sid Jacobs will campaign during the 21-day meeting, opening here on Monday, arrived at this seashore course late today from Pimlico race track. SHghtly more than a dozen were included in todays shipment, but the stable will be brought to full strength over the week-end with the arrival of another group from New, York. In all, Jacobs will campaign about 20 thoroughbreds during the first of the Atlantic City Racing Associations two meetings. Heading the contingent that arrived today was the good sprinter Sophocles, whom Jacobs trains for Henry Hecht, Baltimore merchant. Sophocles may prove to be one of the best sprinters to perform during the liieeting.
