SWEEPNACK, not hustled while settling into best stride,- worked his way up on the outside to enter contention rounding the final turn, responded to steady pressure and wore down the leaders in the final yards. MOKUP, forwardly placed under light urging, rallied when set down to finish with good courage. MECHANIADOR saved ground while improving position, but was not good enough. SNOWLINE closed a big gap on the extreme outside. GAY ROVER drew clear at once, was steadied along while in hand, bore out when set down, then tired. PARK AVENUE had no excuse. HIGH PRIORITY raced evenly. LIGHTFOOT LEE forced the early pace, made a determined bid on the final turn, then flattened out. MOON POOL was through after six furlongs. CAMERA MAN quit. Won driving; second and third the same. BILL CORUM, rated back of the leader, responded to steady pressure to assume command inside the final sixteenth and held on gamely. HIRED MAN, well up from the start,, rallied to close with good energy. ATOMIC WAVE was hustled into an early lead, began bearing out under pressure nearing the furlong pole and finished on the outside of the track. THE BAGEL raced with the pace and held on gamely under urging. COLD SCOTCH showed a good effort. BIG THICKET was in close quarters and forced to take up sharply. TRIDENT went evenly. AIR BRAKES lacked early foot, was taken up sharply when improving his position and failed to recover. TIMEQUEST showed nothing. SARALEE C. quit after a half-mile. GRAY DAME broke slowly. SCARLETT VIXEN was hustled from the start to engage DOTTIE C. on the final turn, was forced wide when MUSIC MISS came up on the inside, was straightened and swerved in, impeding DOTTIE C, then outfinished ROYAL PIGEON. The latter saved ground on the final turn, just missing. MUSIC MISS moved to the leaders under urging, came out off the rail, was straightened and finished with good energy. DOTTIE C. wrested command from PLEASEMENOW soon after the start, was unable to draw clear, then was caught between horses after going wide and had little chance in the final furlong. LOLLING was steadied along in front under strong restraint, saved ground to widen her advantage into the stretch, but shortened stride and just lasted. HARSAM, unable to keep up early, was not hustled until nearing the far turn, closed with a rush and just missed. REBUKE, forwardly placed, was under a steady drive in the final half. BULLHEAD saved ground to pass tired horses in the stretch. HYGROS FLIER forced the pace under urging, then flattened out in the final furlong. CREOLE BABE weakened after six furlongs. COUNT I. ARIDISICAL forced the pace under light restraint, held on gamely when set down, but was not good enough. LAND CRUISER remained close up after losing the early lead, but failed to rally under pressure. BROAD DAYLIGHT had no mishap. FEARLESS lacked early foot, saved ground on the final turn, then failed to respond to intermittent pressure. POMPAGLE was never a serious factor. VEILED SON broke alertly, raced on even terms with MYSHIRLEY under light urging, rallied readily after straightening for the drive, drew out slightly and was under pressure to hold PRINCE FAVOR safe. The latter broke slowly, was rushed up on the inside to gain contention, swung to the outside when clear in the stretch and closed gamely. LANDN SEA moved through on the inside to finish strongly under steady urging. NAVAL BASE, away alertly, dropped back after a quarter, then came with a rush in the final sixteenth. LOSTAHAT, practically left at the start, improved his position gradually on the extreme outside, continued to gain entering the stretch, caught the leader inside the final sixteenth and drew out at the end. KING PRETTY, forced to lose ground on the first turn while gaining command, was steadied under strong restraint, came out slightly on the final turn to lose the lead momentarily, came again, but had nothing left to hold the winner. SOAPSUDS forced the pace under light urging, gained command while saving ground, then faltered, but earned a dead-heat with BRAZIL. The latter moved between horses on the backstretch and closed strongly under pressure. WATCH WORD was well up on the inside, tried to get through leaving the backstretch, but was blocked. INNATE had no excuse. OUR MERRICK failed to respond to urging. SOLID SENDER weakened under a drive. YELLOW HORNET passed tiring horses.
