MARINE SWEEP was sent through on the inside rounding the stretch turn, but could not menace the winner. WHITE FIELD assumed command rounding the stretch turn, then faltered. SCOTCH COUNT finished well. FOUR PLY had no mishap. FULL FLUSH had a flash of early speed. MANEEN had no mishap. The race was run in a heavy mist which obscured vision. JERSEY CREAM was a prominent factor all the way, but struck the beacon going to-the final fence. FOURTH ARM had no mishap. CAPTAINS AIDE had a flash of early speed. VALIANT was outrun. LISMORE LADY, under pressure in the late stages, outfinished DONNA GRACE. The latter was well up throughout, but hung nearing the finish. BLUEHAZE finished fast after a slow beginning. BEST BOOTS had no mishap. ROMANA finished well. LITTLE MINN showed a good effort. VAROLA raced evenly. HEADLAND had no mishap. TIZZY was outrun. GALACHERRY had a flash of early speed. The latter propped at the start, but moved up fast on the outside when taken in hand and close to the pace, was roused sharply in the final sixteenth and finished well. STAGE KID made up some ground in the late stages, but could not menace the leaders. LADYS ACE was outrun and was worked out a mile and a furlong in 2:02. The latter improved his position on the inside and finished with good courage. AMLICK was outrun in the early stages, was sent through on the inside for the stretch run and finished well. LADY DUANE forced the pace from .the start, but tired in the late stages. I CONQUER showed an even effort. ALPORT lacked early speed. CALATAN ran in spots.
