John H. Clark Will Assist In All Stoner Creek Sales LEXINGTON, Ky., May 21-. John Hertz today announced that John H. Clark has been engaged to assist in handling the sales of all horses that are sold by Mrs. Hertz Stoner Creek Stud. The Stoner Creek yearlings, with the exception of a few to be retained for racing and the stud, will be offered at public auction each year at the Keeneland summer sales. Breeding stock will be offered privately and at auction at the fall sales each year at Keeneland. Stoner Creek is a commercial breeding farm. Between 1939 and 44, all df the yearlings bred by Stoner Creek were for private sale. The only stakes winner bred during the period that was not purchased was Count Fleet. A price of ,500 was placed on him. Among the racers sold during the period of private sales were the Travers winner, Adonis, Bull Reigh, Elpis, La Reigh, Surrogate, and Bleu D Or. Stoner Creek began disposing of its yearlings at auction in 1944 and Cosmic Bomb was in the 1945 consignment. Clark will continue to operate his horse agency.
