Better Grade Platers Go In Garden State Feature Yes You May Rule Choice Over Sky Miracle at Six Furlongs GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden. N. J., May 3. — A change in track conditions to deep mud, the result of overnight rains, forced the abandonment of what had been programmed as the featured offering for tomorrow, namely, the Pitman, a dash over a distance of ground for four-year-olds and over. The event failed to attract a sufficient number of overnight nominees and was discarded. A sprint offering, at six furlongs for four-year-olds and over, fashioned for the higher-priced claimers, was advanced to the featured offering. This event brings together eight well-regarded members of that classification, with War Anchor and Yazdegerd the top-weights, under 118 pounds. They respectively will carry the racing colors of the Glen Riddle Farm and the Grandview Stable and meet Savoy Stables Pompous, H. P. Headleys Yes You, J. H. Rouses Choice Cut, King Chico, representing Mrs. W. E. Snell; Brookmeade Stables Sky Miracle, and Appease Not, racing for Mrs. E. J. Wolfson, complete the field. This band of sprinters are looked upon as good performers over an "off" track and, under the weight allotments with a span of 13 pounds between the top and lower weights of the field, should furnish an interesting contest. Apprentices have been assigned to handle Yes You and King Chico, and these loom as factors in the running. Pre-race opinion for the post of favoritism rested on Yes You, with Sky Miracle the one second in demand. However, this opinion was based on the forecast of an "off" track. The secondary feature is styled the Cotillion and is for three-year-olds at a mile and a sixteenth. This is also under claiming conditions, and seven were named to measure strides. This offering is a wide-open affair and an upset would cause rn great surprise.
