GRAND PROSPECT, a forward factor from the beginning, swung wide entering the stretch, responded to steady urging and was up in the final strides to outfinish EQUIROSE. The latter was steered to the outside in the final furlong and finished with good energy. MY RUTHIE. quickest to begin, opened a clear lead at once and saved ground, but shortened stride nearing the end. ALLEZ OOP was well placed and had nc mishap. ESS JAY ESS raced evenly. FLAMING DANCE passed tiring horses. VITAL SUN had brief speed. ST. GLORY was unable to keep up. The others were never prominent. PONCA improved position steadily on the outside, was forced to lose ground entering the stretch, but rallied to gain a short advantage and had enough left to hold BATTLE CLAMP safe. The latter was sent up fast between horses to gain the lead, then faltered. CHERRY VALLEY came from far off the pace with a belated rush. SASSY CHICK, a forward factor on the outside, lost too much ground when put to pressure and was tiring at the end. BONES APARTE flattened cut after racing MURRAY MAID into submission. MURRAY MAID showed good speed to the final turn before weakening. FAIRJETE showed nothing. KIT N KAT was never prominent. BOSS B. was through early. AUNTIE, steadied within striking distance of the pace, moved readily on the final turn, was steered out in the better going to gain command and was under light urging to the end. MIKEDAVE worked his way up on the outside, then went very wide through the stretch. ETERNAL MAY, quickest to begin, was taken in hand when unable to stay with the early leaders, then rallied in the final furlong. RELOJ set the pace under pressure and saved ground, but tired in the final furlong. HI LANDING went evenly. TABOSA saved ground, but was unable to improve position. SUPER GIRL was outrun. DOT H. was hustled to join the leaders early, came to the outside for the drive and finished well under pressure. BOSS BROKER came through on the inside to challenge for command, but was not good enough. ROSTRUM broke alertly, but was unable to reach the leaders under pressure. ETERNAL SICKLE, quickest to start, opened a clear lead and raced well to the final furlong, then shortened stride. COMEDY BOY broke slowly and was unable to enter serious contention. The latter was forwardly placed under steadying restraint, rallied mildly under pressure, but was not good enough. HI-SENORITA had no mishap. STREAK OF DAWN, in hand while kept close to the pace, moved rapidly when roused, gained a slight advantage and was under stout pressure while drifting slightly and outfinished DUKES GAL. The latter, steadied until the far turn, moved with STREAK OF DAWN, was on the outside and lost ground, then failed to hold the lead after getting to the front. FALSE FRONT broke alertly, was unable to keep up in the early stages, then closed with a belated rush. ETERNAL GREAT weakened after losing command. ATOM RIDE, in close quarters nearing the far turn, dropped tack and failed to respond in the final stages. A claim of foul against the winner was allowed and STREAK OF DAWN was placed second. PICKPOCKET improved position steadily, came to the inside for the drive, wrested the lead from FIRE RAIDER and drew clear under intermittent urging. FIRE RAIDER opened a commanding lead soon after the start, was taken out in the better going while losing command, then continued on gamely. MISS YAM raced evenly. BE PROUD was unable to make up appreciable ground. NIGHT CRAWLER, slow to settle in stride, saved ground to better position. The others were outrun. SIR MICKEY broke down badly in the late stages.
