Derby on Radio, Television CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 6. — Fans unable to attend the Kentucky Derby tomorrow will be able to "witness" the race through the mediums of radio and television. The radiocast of the Derby will be exclusive with Columbia Broadcasting System, beginning at 4:15 p. m. Central Standard Time. Clem McCarthy will call the race, and Bill Corum will provide the color. Post time for the race is approximately 4:30 p. m. C. S. T.. The broadcast will be for a half-hour period. WAVE-TV will carry a live telecast, with Joe Palmer calling the race. Inasmuch as Louisville is not connected with other parts of the nation by coaxial cable, fans in other parts of the United States will be provided with television films and calls of the race at the earliest opportunity.
