SIGNAL KNOB finished well under late pressure. ACADEMIC, slow to settle into best stride, finished well with a belated rush. MISS RUSSELL was unable to gam a contending position. KENAYR, much the best, was knocked back on the far turn, recovered quickly, was sent to the outside and was up in the final stride to outfinish GOOD FUN. The latter forced the pace along the inside, swung to the outside when straightened for the drive and appeared winner until the final stride. TWO DEUCE outran the field to take command at once, opened a comfortable lead after a quarter mile, then faltered. VALOR raced in spots. ALANA WOOD was well placed while lugging out slightly nearing the far turn, then weakened. FAST TIME had no mishap. LIGHT COUNT, , kept close to the leaders on the inside, flattened out when roused. MIGUELITO improved position steadily along the inside, assumed command after a half mile, drew clear and increased margin under intermittent urging. MYSHIRLEY, quickest to begin, set the pace for a half mile and saved ground, but shortened stride and was tiring. SPEEDEE BOZO, never far off the pace on the outside, rallied mildly in the drive. FLAMING DANCE improved position gradually under steady urging. DOIT EASY was unable to keep up. THE WING went evenly. LIGHTNING PLAY had no mishap. ARIEL BRIGADES bridle was broken at the gate and, after new equipment was used, broke tardily, was rushed on the outside to enter contention after three furlongs, then raced very wide. WHAT GAL moved readily after a quarter mile, was unable to reach the leader, then raced evenly. MOMS IMAGE weakened after forcing the pace. SUSIES GIFT raced evenly. MARIE EGRET showed nothing. GEE WHIZ worked his way up on the inside to challenge for command, straightened away in the stretch, responded to strong pressure and outfinished TIM B. The latter, never far off the pace on the outside, closed stoutly through the stretch and just missed. CHARING ROCK forced the pace from the start, moved into command midway of the stretch, moved over to the rail sharply, then faltered. MARINE BAND, unable to keep up in the early running, was forced to take up and go to the outside in the late rush. CURVACEOUS, outrun to the final stages, closed fast with a belated rush. LOOKOUT SON showed good speed from the start, set the pace to the final turn, then flattened out. PAPER MILL went evenly. ANDANTINO was outrun. UNKNOWN REWARD bre alertly, was taken under steadying restraint and kept within striking distance of the pace on the outside, mc.?d readily when roused, raced wide on the final turn, then overtook the leader and drew out under pressure. HOT TIME set the pace under restraint, took the turns well, continued on gamely when challenged, but faltered in the final sixteenth. QUASI was well up throughout, saving ground on the turns. GILA WATER, taken back and steadied soon after the start, moved with a rush on the far turn, then went evenly in the late stages. TICK TACK was in close quarters repeatedly. DESPITE was never a serious factor. KING EASTON passed tiring horses. RISKAIRE moved up stoutly after a quarter, forced the pace to the final turn, then tired. OLD UNION raced in spots.
