Box-Holders at Todays Derby Come From Coast to Coast CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky.. May 6. — Box-holders for the Diamond Jubilee running of the Kentucky Derby here tomorrow will represent the whole of America. The box-holders come from border to border and coast to coast. From Massachusetts to California, and from Louisiana to Michigan, turf enthusiasts will gather to pay homage to the that great three-year-old classic, the Derby. Some of the smallest states in the Union in population are represented right with the largest. Arizona, Nevada and North Dakota are on the roster, along with a huge number of reservations from Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana. As might be expected, the state providing the largest list of box-holders is Kentucky itself, the home of the Derby. Notable on the Kentucky roster are the leaders of the breeding industry, which centers in Fayette and Bourbon counties.
