Ask Motorists to Leave Cars Away From Track CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 6. — Traffic experts of the Louisville, Jefferson County and State Police have issued an appeal to Derby Day motorists to leave their cars either at home or parked well away from the track. Derby fans can get to the track from dowtown Louisville by bus or cab. Between 10 a. m. and 8:30 p. m. on Saturday, only buses and taxicabs will be allowed on Fourth Street from Main to Central. Some 170 police will be on traffic duty in Louisville during the day. Thirty state police cars will be stationed about 10 miles apart on highways leading to Louisville to help visitors in and out of the city as promptly as possible. For several days the state police have been distrbuting maps of Louisville with marked approved Derby routes. It has been announced that cars illegally parked on Derby Day will be towed to a parking lot near the city hall. Fifteen streets have been designated as "no parking" areas for varying periods on Derby Day.
