First Delegation From Texas Arrives at Churchill Downs CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky.t . May 6. — The first sizable delegation of Texas, complete with drawls, 10-gallon hats and boots, arrived by special train yesterday at the Union Station. One hundred Lone Star Staters were aboard the train which will serve as their hotel during their stay in Derby town. H. C. Pollay, one of the arrivals, is a ranch operator of some 200,000 acres at Musquez, Mexico. He discussed the merits of Old Rockport, a horse Texas has taken as "its own" because owner Clifford Mooers maintains a ranch and home near Boerne. This is the eighth Kentucky Derby trip of this particular special, which has been arranged by Mrs. Katherine Woodward of Austin.
