KILAYR, never far off the pace, was taken up sharply while moving between horses, was ent to the outside on the final turn, responded when roused and caught the leader inside the final sixteenth, then drew out. TOP FOOT raced MISS RHODA into submission after a half, drew out, but was unable to stave off the winners bid. JOANS ROBIN failed to gain under strong pressure in the late stages. BEAMING LIGHT was well placed along the inside and had no mishap. SHINING DEED was unable to keep up. UNCLE DOC lacked early speed. MISS RHODA quit after losing the lead. PLAYANNA worked his way up on the outside to near the eaders on final turn, closed determinedly, but was not good enough. BATTLE CLAMP steadied along the inside lacked racing room when ready, was forced to take to the outside after straightened for the drive then failed to respond. LONA MAE passed tiring horses. COMETS FLASH showed nothing. TIGER NIP set pace under light restraint, then flattened out when put to pressure. CLOVER MISS was never a factor Overweight— Clover Miss, 5 pounds.
