Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. CHLOE had sufficient speed to outrun opposition early, was smartly rated and responded gamely to outfinish MY ROSE. The latter worked way between horses and continued gamely, although unable to wear down the winner. STARSNSTRIPES faltered after pressing the pace for three-eighths. STEFANELLA weakened early. BRAHMIN MAID weakened in the final . stages. SET FREE was slow to reach best stride. BIRD RING was never a serious factor. COUNT OFF moved into serious contention on the turn and failed to make up ground thereafter. PETITION tired after racing forwardly. GRUMPITO lacked a rally. SOCIAL SIDE was not rushed while within striking distance through the first half mile, responded readily to assume command boldly at the furlong pole and drew clear to win easily. YARDTOWN moved menacingly on the turn, but was no match for the winner in the final furlong. PENATEN displaced the leader turning into the stretch, then tired. RICKY M. B. was always a factor, but was not good enough. HELENTOWN closed well. GREEN BEAU broke in a tangle. ONSENOSE set the pace and quit to a walk. MAFIA moved between horses along the backstretch and continued on willingly, but was no match for the winner. WAR ANCHOR, outrun in the early stages, moved between horses and closed full of run. KING CHICO weakened after showing in front for about three-eighths. RIVERTOWN could not threaten. CHOICE CUT was shuffled back early and came again. TANNETTE showed nothing. ELLIE S. was outrun. NORMRICH, under restraint while holding a narrow advantage to the stretch, drew clear after shaking off MR. WLROY and won handily. MR. KILROY, hard held in the early stages, challenged nearing the stretch and weakened thereafter. IRON PIGEON, slow to settle in stride, took the overland route while rallying and closed full of run.
