— — , Atlantic City Schedules 5,000 Turf Feature ATLANTIC CITY, N. J., May 16.— Turf horses will have their best 1949 opportunity in the East this season with, the running: of a 5,000 stake on Atlantic Citys grass course, during: the 45-day meeting which opens. August 11. This mile and a sixteenth event will be one of the major attractions on a stake schedule now being drawn up. The grass course at the seashore track used for the first time last year, has been reported in excellent condition by track superintendent Harold Johnson, following a recent inspection.
