Kelly Resigns Guild Post NEW YORK, N. Y., May 16.— John P. "Pat" Kelly today resigned as secretary and general manager of the Jockeys Guild. He announced his withdrawal from the floor at the convention of the National Association of State Racing Commissioners at the Hotel Commodore. Although no reason was given, Kellys action followed a meeting of the board of directors of the Guild, yesterday. Kelly took over the Guild post in 1945, succeeding John J. Swisher. He stated that while he, was severing his official connection with the jockeys, he will continue to be ; active in racing and lend his assistance in any way that he can to the Guild*
