Twenty-Five Chemists Attending Convention Variety of Subjects Discussed At Opening Session in New York NEW YORK, N. Y„ May 16.— When the National Association of State Racing Commissioners opened its fifteenth annual convention at the Hotel Commodore today, members of the Association of Official Racing Chemists gathered in an adjoining parlor for their third annual meeting. The morning session was devoted largely to routine procedure, while the afternoon was given over to round table deliberations. Subjects discussed were: Pre-race tests, splitting samples, cooperation with official veterinarians, publications and speeches, polargraph, form of reporting positives, form of recording spectrophotometric data, relative merits of urine and saliva in drug detection. Twenty-five chemists were in attendance at the opening sessions. They were as follows: * Arizona — Michael J. Sullivan, Phoenix. Australia — Jean Kimble, Sydney, N.S.W. . Illinois and Michigan — Y. T. Oester and Sydney Titelbaum. Kentucky, Louisiana and West Virginia — Kenneth W. Smith, Louisville. Maryland — John H. Herculson, Baltimore. Massachusetts — Joseph T. Walker, Boston. Nebraska — Lewis E. Harris. New York — Charles E. Morgan, Harry Peterson, Robert E. Vesiny, Mario Ceprini, Nicholas Opolonick and Frank Wochinger. Oregon— Wilbert R. Todd, Portland.
