Four Double Successes Mark Opening Beulah Park Card BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 7. — Al Wellman, the Kentuckian who raced 1 a useful string of thoroughbreds at the ; Fair Grounds in New Orleans this past * winter, was credited with saddling a pair r of winners on Saturdays opening day program. ■ He tightened the girths on Cass, winner of the seventh race, and Winstay, . who was victorious in the sixth event. Jockey C. L. Martin chalked up a riding - double when he guided the Wellman 1 1 colorbearers to the winners circle. Jockeys R. Shirey and B. Sackett also accounted for two riding victories each 1 when the former .was astride the winning First Mission and King Clerk and the latter • piloted the victorious Red Hope in the * fifth race and again greeted the judges when he brought Ariel Streak home first in the eighth and featured event. ■ l
