Lady Vesters Colt Second BURTON, Texas, May 7.— Dr. Alvis E. Greer, who maintains Maidal Ranch here, and who raises a few quarter horses as a hobby, was pleased when results came in from Big Springs, Texas, Sunday. B Bold, by Depth Charge out of Lady Vester, one of Dr. Greers quarter mares, was a close second to the King Ranch -bred and E. H. Lane -owned Brigand, also by Depth Charge, in the Quarter horse Futurity, carrying prize money in excess of ,100. B Bold, now owned by J. B. Wood, is a registered quarter colt, being out of a registered quarter mare, whereas Brigand is a thoroughbred.
