PITFALL rushed boldly on the outside to draw in closest attendance of the leader but was unable to menace. YAZDEGERD came to the inside in the stretch but lacked a closing rally. SIR GORHILL weakened. SAMS LIST lacked early speed EASTON DREAM raced in spots. DANCING GOB had no mishap. BUNCHBERRY tired. SANDIA SUE raced with the early pace for a half mile, then tired. The latter opened a commanding lead at once, skirted the inner rail but was unable to maintain the margin under pressure. BELIEVE-IN-ME rallied mildly in the late stages TALLTOWN went evenly. FLAMING BUSH set a rapid pace then weakened. KLIMIE was rushed along the inside near the early pace, was unable to stay with leaders and was not persevered with. EIGHT BELLS showed a good effort. HIBERNIAN moved to the lead after five furlongs, was unable to draw clear, but held on stubbornly. VERONA SANDS rallied mildly.
