Speculate on Chairman MIAMI, Fla., June 12. — Recovering from the surprise occasioned yesterday by Gov. Fuller Wai-rens unexpected appointment of a completely new state racing commission, local turf circles today speculated on who the chairman will be. This will not be determined until the new board holds its first meeting, which is expected to be shortly. It was the consensus that Carl Hanton will be chosen for the post. He is publisher of the Fort Myers News Press, and was a staunch supporter of Governor Warren. He is about 65, and is the senior member of the board. All the other com-, missioners are attorneys." Lawrence Rogers of Kissimmee, who is 45, and Charles S. Isler of Panama City, who is 40, are members of the board of governors of the Florida Bar Association. D. C. Jones, 60, of Naples, is a former member of the Kentucky legislature and a former Circuit Court judge of Harlan County in that state. Warren Sanchez of Live Oak is about 36 and it is generally believed he will serve as secretary of the commission.
