Happy East Gains His First Triumph of Year at Suffolk SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 12. — Happy East, sporting the silks .of Darling and Sims, accounted for his first victory of the season as he drove to a length decision over Dijack Stables False Front in the sixth race of a featureless card at Suffolk Downs today. Another half-length back, Vicente and Navarros Rough Cookietook the minor award by a length from the favored Reproduction, owned by Mrs.Glenn Felkner. Only six started in the nine-furlong event, and none of the sextet were gifted with early foot, making the pace very slow for six furlongs of the trip. Armando Martinez, rider of Happy East, gave a good performance in finishing with the Mont Blanc gelding and edged him away from False Front in the final sixteenth of a mile. Time for the mile and a furlong was 1:52 over a fast racing strip. Those who wagered on the winner, received .40. The defeat of Reproduction marked the sixth straight event in which the favorite was beaten. •
