IF COMING worked her way up on the outside, came between horses in the stretch and was along to gain command before the final yards. TINTINA forced the pace, assumed command under pressure, but was not good enough. PHIL HARRIS closed stoutly along the inside. MARSE ROBERT, in close quarters scon after the start, worked his way up on the outside to engage the leader, then faltered. NOSTRILIA saved ground to better late position. ORBIT tired. WISH EGAN showed nothing. MY DUCHESS lacked speed. JAMES D. quit. IRISH R. M. was outrun., BIG AND BETTER was moving past horses on the far turn when he hobbled and broke down. VELVET BOUND worked his way up on the outside, closing stoutly under pressure. SHOPPING SPREE forced the pace and held on stubbornly. JACOS BOY improved position gradually in a good effort. JAMAICA GIRL rallied to engage the leaders in the stretch, then faltered. HIKIE DIKIE lost ground. GABY H. flattened out badly. FILLE DE SEPT was unable to keep up. AL. BATTEN showed nothing. COURT RINA broke alertly, was steadied when Joined by ROLLS NAP, remained on the outside, responded to a steady hand ride and edged to the front in the final sixteenth. ROLLS NAP went right out to join the leader soon after the start, had the rail throughout and held on stubbornly. PAPA DON closed willingly under late urging. FIRST CURTAIN lacked a late rally. INTERFERE had no mishap. BUDLANE went evenly. PLUCKY WILLIE raced wide on the turns. USUAL was never a serious factor. AROSA was unable to keep up. THINGAMY flashed brief speed. TALLTOWN rushed up along the inside to engage for the command after a quarter mile, gained the lead along the inside, responded to pressure entering the stretch and drew clear. BILLY BOWLEGS, forwardly placed on the outside, held on gamely. GALYCIDON, close to the early pace, dropped back steadily, was roused leaving the backstretch, moved readily along the rail, but was unable to menace. DIANADA passed tiring horses. CHALL WIND showed speed for a half mile, then flattened out. DUKES BOY tired. DICK GLAVIN raced very wide in the final quarter mile. Overweight— Dianada, 1 pound. Galycidon claimed by E. B. Ogden. FALSE FRONT moved around horses on the far turn and challenged through the stretch. ROUGH COOKIE closed resolutely when put to pressure. REPRODUCTION was taken back off the pace and steadied to the final quarter mile, moved on the outside when roused, but was not good enough. HARD HELD was obliged to set the pace while under strong restraint, saved ground, but faltered and bled slightly. EIGHT BELLS flattened out when put to a drive. SOCIAL SIDE, in close quarters racing with the pace, held on tenaciously. BILTRITE established the pace to the stretch and tired. EXPERIMENTUM had speed for a half mile, then weakened. HIBERNIAN, after racing close to the leaders from the beginning, assumed command rounding the, final turn, but was under steady pressure, to hold his advantage to the end. HILL FLIGHT took command after the first half mile, opened what appeared a comfortable lead, but could not stall off the winner in the final drive. SVENGALI raced prominently from -the beginning. SPITEFUL SUE rallied mildly when called upon after racing far back in the early stages, but was no menace. ISOLUC had no excuse. FULGURA closed a big gap in the final three furlongs.
