New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 21. Trainer J. P. Watts, who handles the T. C. Melrose string, has arrived in New England and will start a few horses during the final days of the Downs meeting. All two-year-old races at Suffolk Downs will continue to be run over five furlongs until the final day of the meeting, a week from Saturday when the ,000 added May flower Stakes will be contested over the five and a half furlongs distance. Trainer Robert Moore has taken over the conditioning of Lenity and Joe Olsan for C. F. Herrmann at Suffolk Downs. Jack McCue has taken over the training duties of the O Sole Mio Stable at Suffolk Downs, succeeding A. B. Goldstine who recently resigned. ยป Trainer Herb Fisher has shipped the useful mare Eternal Brief to Arlington Park, where she will be raced exclusively over the turf.
