Pair of Sprint Features On Delaware Park Card Two Rainbows, Sedgeview Meet; Concordville Draws Jeannie C. DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 4. — Sprinters of the four-year-old and upward division and from the sophomore ranks are co -featured here tomorrow afternoon in the Townsend and Concordville Purses, each of which is over the six-furlong distance. The Townsend matches Mrs. Alfred Roberts Sedgeview, Brookmeade Stables Two Rainbows, Mrs. C. A. Lyons Penocc, Mrs. Henry Clarks Puppet and Alan T. Clarkes King Mowlee. In the Concordville are Brandywine Stables Warpath and Referee, Clarkes Jeannie C, Mrs. Roberts Cobber, S. P. Stecklers Decapolis, Paul Groos Knights Reward and Savoy Stables Fred R. Two Rainbows and Sedgeview raced well locally, each finishing second in their respective races last Saturday. Sedgeview was beaten only a half length by Binky B. in 1:12%, while in the very next race Two Rainbows dropped a nose decision to Bobs Betty in 1:14%, surprisingly slow for sprinters of their caliber. The difference in time was rather surprising, in that Two Rainbows competed in a fairly good allowance race, while Sedgeview carried a claiming price of 1,000. Penocc and Puppet are without victories this season, but both have raced fairly well. Penocc has a pair of seconds and as many thirds in a quartet of engagements, while Puppet was unplaced in a pair of outings. King Mowlees lone victory this season was against 2,000 to 0,000 sprinters at Laurel. In the Concordville, the fleet filly Jeannie C. shapes, up as the speed of the field and her willingness in a recent sprint may ele- vate her into the favorites role tomorrow. In the above mentioned dash she held on gamely to be beaten just a length by Congo King and Enchanted Eve in 1:12%. Warpath and Referee, who will represent Delaware Park president, Donald Ross, in the Concordville, are coming off middle-distance races, each having competed over the mile and a sixteenth distance last week. Warpath won his race in 1:45, while Referee was beaten 11 lengths in 1:44%, with Brush Burn the winner of that test. Fred R. and Decapolis have been double winners this year, the former winning a six-furlong sprint in 1:12%, with four lengths separating him from Congo King here last week. Cobber is a one-race winner this year and may need more distance, while additional ground probably would also aid Knights Reward. j
