MONEY soon went to the front to open up a wide advantage on the far turn and drew out when given free rein in the stretch to be well in hand at the end. GLADE WELL raced in second place most of the way and was not threatened by the others for that position. WHAT A PEACH made up ground and was going well at the finish. GEE-LIGHT also closed ground in the stretch. CURIOUS REWARD had some early speed. C0CK0FTHEWALK was never a contender. BRECON BEACONS was always well up and coming steadily through the stretch, was gaining slowly on the winner. FAIR STRIKE closed ground in the stretch. BIG QUESTION tired after going five furlongs. ETRURIA went to the front early and, continuing strongly after being headed by SUE-TE-PAUL nearing the stretch turn, again took command when straightened out in the stretch to draw in the final eighth. PHILNOR was always a good contender and was not troubled for second place in the stretch. SOME GO madeup some ground while racing rather wide. BULL HIF.R8CLES was going fairly well at the finish. SUE-TE-PAUL tired badly in the stretch. YOU ALL was outpaced. SPARTAN JETT THREW HIMSELF IN THE STALL GATE, WAS INJURED SLIGHTLY, AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN. MONEY WAGERED ON HIM WAS REFUNDED. Ml AMANTE was well placed early and gaining on SOME CHARGE after entering the stretch, forged to the front a furlong oout and then drew away but was hand ridden to make victory certain. BREADWINNER was eased when seemingly in tight quarters on the stretch turn, then came steadily through the stretch and was gaining. SOME CHARGE drew out nearing the stretch turn but tired. WELCOME GUEST was saved closed to the pace of PARALYTE to the far turn, then took a short lead and, withstanding a challenge from WRACK PLAY after entering the stretch, pulled away from the latter when called upon. WRACK PLAY was well rated close up early and made a determined bid after entering the stretch but was not good enough. EASTER AIRLINE easily outfinished the others. ALBEMARLE went to the front at once, and although pressed by FINE FIDDLE for a quarter, shook off the latter to draw out nearing the stretch turn but was forced to a drive in the final sixteenth to hold SCREEMIN JACK. The latter was unable to find an opening on the inside in the first part, then came to the outside on the stretch turn ?M, although racing wide, went well to the end. TORCH OF IRAN made a mild move nearing the stretch turn but dropped back in the last eighth. FOXY WAGER was unable to keep up FINE FIDDLE tired badly. Scratched— 64433 Red Curtice, 114. NEVERLATOR was saved on the outside in the early running and, coming steadily in the middle of the track through the stretch, forged to the front entering the last sixteenth to win easily. SHANE was always a good contender and went well to the end. PRINCESS ANN set the pace and increased her advantage nearing the stretch turn, but tired in the run home. BLACK STREAM went evenly.
