ISLAMARADA look command with a rush on the final turn, gave way momentarily to RAIN DEAR S nearing the furlong marker, then came again under adept handling to gain the decision. RAIN DEAR S slipped through next to the inside rail to reach "the lead entering the stretch, was, unable to outgame the winner, but easily bested the others. GENEVA, away fastest, was reserved back of the leaders, but failed to respond when called upon for hec best effort. ROYAL COYNESS raced evenly from the three-furlong marker to the stands without mishap. LYNN KONY never threatened. DEBBIES DAY was outdistanced early. RAINY DAY quit. The others showed nothing. REMLAP, a sharp factor from the start, forged to the front when straightened for the stretch run and gradually drew clear when fully extended. KINGS DAISY worked her-Way forward to attain a contending position for the drive, but was unable to overtake the winner when subjected to brisk urging. CYKIE closed*with a belated rush and probably would prefer a longer distance. LA FORTUNA was unable to improve her position during the late stages. BIG ROAD caught tiring horses. WAR-ASTER raced wide. GUIDING saved ground to no avail. MAD MAID quit. SKY BLUE retired steadily after showing brief speed. MERRY RISK never threatened. Scratched— 881234 Charing Rock, 113. Start good from flag. Won driving; second and third the same. KING COMMANDER took command when KNIGHT ALERT raced extremely wide coming out of the first turn, bobbled badly on the seventh huddle, but after recovering gamely held sway to prevail over IMBURSED. The latter, slow to gain best stride, moved up boldly to challenge the winner entering the stretch, then appeared to hang during the late stages. WATCH DOG raced evenly through the straightaway without mishap. ROUND TOP failed to sufficiently respond when set down for the ultimate test. KNIGHT ALERT bolted sharply on the upper turn following the second jump, regained contention, then tired as a result of his effort. SNOOKSIE, under light restraint during the early running, disposed of SWIFT TALK with a rush when ready and maintained a clear advantage when subjected to intermittent urging. QUEENS REGRET responded readily when set down for the drive and closed willingly to easily prevail over the others. SWIFT TALK, much used eariy, had little left. REGAL FLAVOR was through after a half-mile. SAFLO was unable to keep up. MONTRACHET began sluggishly.. BRIEFCASE tired. CATLESS never was dangerous. BULL BELL quit. ANNA PROOF showed nothing. TIMELY REWARD gained command between callsduring the stretch run, but failed to respond when placed to stern pressure. LAFOURCHE, far back early as usual, closed with good x courage, but was unable to seriously endanger the top ones. SUN RENE gave way suddenly inside the furlong marker. ACTIVE DUTY was outrun. HUESO, slow to gain best stride, worked his way forward to the stretch, came out for the drive to take command and held DICTAR safe. The latter, guided between horses for the stretch run, closed determinedly in a sharp effort. SUN WARRIOR held a slight lead when set down for the drive, then faltered when punished. TAHITIAN KING, forwardly placed during the early running while on the outside, continued in the middle of the track for the stretch run, but was not good enough. VIRTUOUS displayed excellent speed to the furlong marker, then weakened. CAESAR DID quit BASSANIO began sluggishly and failed to menace. IMPASSE was through early. The latter, reserved back of the early leaders, closed resolutely and was getting to the winner. SPRINGTALE closed a gap in a good effort. ROYAL CASTLE failed to make up appreciable ground when hard hustled through the late stages. FIFE AND DRUM held sway for six furlongs, then weakened. ISOGRADE was outrun as was UNREST.
