Roger Ward Races to Fore SPRINGFIELD, 111., June 22 UP.— Handsome, unmarried Roger Ward, of Los Angeles, stepped up among the nations premier racing drivers today after his winning effort in the 100-mile AAA big car race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Mishaps on the track slowed the winners time to one hour and seven minutes for an average speed of 89.50 miles per hour.
