Trotsek; bred by Mereworth Farm. REACHED P0ST-5:14. OFF AT 5:14 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same.. RUHE, as usual, lacked early speed and was many lengths back of the leaders in the backstretch run, then came to the outside in the stretch to make his move, and although lugging in slightly in the stretch and jostled when ROYAL MUSTANG was forced out, took command near the end, but was doing his best at the end to hold SUNNY DALE. The latter responded well to urging in the stretch and was gaining on the winner at the finish. ADAMS OFF OX, showing a good effort, was never too far away and saving ground in the stretch, held on-well. BAYBROOK went to the front early to make the pace, but tired and bore out in the last eighth to interfere with ROYAL MUSTANG, for which he was disqualified from fourth position and placed last. ROYAL MUSTANG showed good form in following the pace and was sandwiched between RUHE and BAYBROOK when the latter bore out SMOKE SCREEN dropped far out of it on the backstretch and raced very wide in the stretch. SEAWARD and DRY RUN tired. Scratched— 899782 Hierarch, 109; 898574 Recline, 109; 89S6Q4 Big Stretch, 106. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. Oil Capitol, Sept 20, 1952— 1:49V*— 5—114. Hasta La Vista Purse. VERY SPECIAL was hustled to the front at once, and setting a good pace, withstood a mild challenge from MISS BROOK in the stretch to draw out near the end. MISS BROOK raced fairly close to the winner to the last sixteenth, then began to weaken and was doing her best, to save second place. PENAWAY was some distance_back of the leaders in the first mile, then made up ground. ALTRUISTIC was badly outrun. SOLID RED was far back all the way.
