* 4 Give Royal Vale 130 for Sussex Asked to Concede One Count Three Pounds This Saturday In Delaware Park Fixture DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 22. — Mrs. Esther duPont Weirs Royal Vale and Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords One Count, who are scheduled to match" speed and stamina in the 5,000 added Sussex Handicap on the coming week end, have been assigned 130 and 127 pounds, respectively, for that mile and one-quarter jaunt for three-year-olds and upward. Only Brook-field Farms Intent, whose retirement has already been announced, was weighted close to the aforementioned pair, having been assigned 124 pounds. Royal Vale has beaten just about everything in his path, with the exception of Greentrees Tom Fool, who twice took his measure in spirited stretch battles. Royal Vales quintet of stakes successes this season include the Miami Beach, Bowie, Gallant Fox, Dixie and Massachusetts Handicaps. Present plans call for him to depart for the West Coast and the Hollywood Gold Cup within a short time, but it seems likely that he will fulfill his engagement in the Sussex" prior to the-trip. One Count earned his burden largely thrnnerh his three-vear-old ftcfiomnlish- ments last season, which saw him voted Horse of the Year in the annual Daily Racing FoRM-Morning Telegraph poll. He has trained splendidly for his engagements this season but his* efforts in competition have been very disappointing. Trainer Oscar Whites charge seems certain to accept the issue in the local event and should gain more than his share of public support. Fleet Bird Assigned 120 Below the top three in the weights, released today by racing secretary J. Gil Haus, are Calumet Farms Fleet Bird, 120, and Alfred G. Vanderbilts First Glance and King Ranchs To Market, each with 119 pounds. Of the trio, only First Glance is considered a possibility.-To Market went amiss in the Massachusetts, while Fleet Bird is not in this area. Next in line under 117 pounds is Green-tree Stables Hall of Fame, while his stable-mate, One Hitter is just one notch lower under 116 pounds. Grouped with the latter are Hampton Stables Alerted and William A. Reads foreign-bred Nitribois. In the 115-pouncl brackets are Calumets A Gleam and Mrs. E. Kendall Weils Ken, neither of whom will compete. Tomorrows top offering is the mile and a sixteenth Oak Lane Purse, a ,000 event which should serve as an excellent New Castle Handicap prep for Circle M Farms Big Mo. This mare will have her hands full, however, for she will meet the following: Alan T. Clarkes Senator Joe, E. A. Nicodemus Larin, Houghton P. Metcalfs Roman Rocket, V. L. Sheas Count Breeze, Rusty-Lyn Stables Lot-A-Brass and R. E. Dutchers Promptness. The complete list of weights for the Sussex follows: Horse. WL Horse. Wt.
