E. H. McMahon Named Acting HBPA Secretary-Treasurer Joseph G.-Kohout, recently elected vice-president of the Central division 9! the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, has appointed E. H. "Mickey" McMahon as acting secretary-treasurer of the division. Kohout, who was at Hawthorne Saturday for the closing-day program of the Lincoln Fields meeting, stated that he would hold the first meeting with the newly-elected executive committee, as soon as it can be arranged upon his return from Springfield. Kohout is a representative in the Illinois General Assembly which . is now in session at the state capitol in Springfield. While conversing with horsemen Saturday, Kohout said: "It is my intention to merit the confidence you have placed in me by continuing to serve all the horsemen vigorously and courageously."
