JEANS irA11 PIAw JAY, steadied dose ,„ to the pace and on the outside to the final turn, moved readily when set down, assumed command and drew out under intermittent urging. HAPPY TUNE assumed command before a quarter mile, increased his lead into the stretch, but was no match for the winner. HATTER WAR closed with good energy through the stretch. MISS STONE, close up throughout, lacked a closing rally. BIG BLUE neared the pace after a quarter mile, saved ground entering the stretch, but was not good enough. OOM PAUL rushed boldly leaving the backstretch, bobbled and nearly went down on Ihe far turn, recovered but was unable to threaten. LADY FINN weakened. GOOD EGG quit. BOWDITCH moved close to the pace in the opening quarter mile, remained in hand until the final furlong, rallied on the outside to take the lead and drew out. LENITY closed with a rush in the final quarter mile but was not good enough. PACIFIC BOUND, eased out from the inside near the far turn, lost ground when sent up on the outside and closed willingly. SONOFUN raced BANSHEE JET into submission, held sway until the late stretch and weakened. ALL BOOTS was hard ridden to near the pace and faltered. WRIGHTS WRONG caught tiring horses. U. S. BOUND flattened out after entering the stretch along the rail. BANSHEE JET tired. The others were outrun. OLD RELIABLE, reserved within attendance of the pace until the final quarter mile, assumed command with ease, but had to be driven out in the final yards to stave off the bid of WILL TO WIN. The latter was sloughed near the far turn by MOON FLEET, recovered quickly, moved outside and closed stoutly to suggest she may have been best. NALACA outran the field to set the early pace, saved ground on the turns and remained in command to the early stretch before-weakening. MOON FLEET broke alertly, dropped back, was sent up between horses to near the pace and faltered. DOM W. weakened early. MISS BELLEVUE showed nothing. TELBRAS was unable to keep up.
