Frontier Boasts Fine Winners DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 22.— The 5,000 Frontier Handicap, at one mile and one-sixteenth for three-year-olds and older, will have its 1953 renewal on July 4 and a record list of nominations are on file with racing secre-tary-handicapper Charles J. McLennan. The Frontier, always one of the Motor Citys highlight sporting events, was run at Highland Park, Windsor, and Devonshire before it was moved to the old Fair Grounds course and then to this "Michigan Mile" track. Included in the list of Frontier Handicap victors are such fine thoroughbreds as Claude, Meridian, Old Rosebud, Best Palv General Thatcher, Bully Boy, King Nadi, Gaffsman and Seven Hearts.
