SICKLE SUE had speed from the start, turned back EASTER HOUR when sharply roused in the final furlong and gradually drew out. The latter, also prominent from the start, saved ground and gave way suddenly. FLOWER QUEEN came to the outside on the turn, but could not improve her position. JAKABLOM was never a serious factor. • UNATTACHED was through early. MARPHIL saved ground to no avail. ST. JUDE showed brief early speed. DANDY JOHN was never a great distance back, raced on the outside much of the "way, and finished strongly. TWO GUN GARY was used up in vying for the early lead. COTE DAZUR had speed from the start, raced a trifle wide and then flattened out when set down for the final drive. DORAGOR was never a serious factor. WEDDING GOWN was through early. SURE QUIS held on fairly well after forcing the issue from the start. NORQUAY raced wide while making a bold but belated bid. COUSIN GEORGE tired from his early effort. SPEED. FANCY GENT was never a great distance back, raced wide in the late stages and finished strongly. JUST FREEDOM found her best stride too late while racing slightly wide. ROMAN JEAN was void of early speed. MR. L00KN0W had no apparent excuse in an even effort. VALENCIANO faltered after racing forwardly placed to midstretch. BRAZOS ROSE oulsprinled her opposition from the srt, raced a trifle wide and, after turning back JIM FIELDS in midstretch, had enough left to outlast SATANS SISTER. The latter was never far back, raced on the outside much of the way and narrowly missed. JOES BEST attained a striking position early, raced wide and finished strongly. JIM FIELDS, prominent from the start, came to the inside early to move up boldly on the winner entering the stretch, but had little left when the real test came. CHRIS CROSS, held in reserve for the first half mile, moved from the outside on the final bend to engaged STAR ROVER in midstretch and, while being carried wide and bumped, he proved slightly best. STAR ROVER forced the early pace while in hand, displaced QUEENSWARE when roused on the second turn and, while bearing out, he held on stubbornly. DOOR PRIZE improved his racing position steadily when called upon and was clearly best Of the others. DEEP THOUGHT saved ground to no avail. QUEENSWARE tired from her early efforts. AESCHYLUS was well placed but lacked a closing rally. CHICANERY went in the air at the break. RED PERFUME shied for no apparent reason inside the final sixteenth. SUPER BUG was through early.
