LITTLE BEAVER lacked early speed, responded well when taken outside and, after wearing down the leaders, held STEP BUSY safe. The latter was far back for a half mile and displayed a good late rush to be going best at the finish. TUNSHEN, under restraint while saving ground and with the pace, attained command in the early stretch and failed to retain the advantage. CLEVES DREAM held a clear lead after a half and gave way. DANCE-A-BIT closed with a rush. BUSY PHIL weakened. LADY PRIAM quit badly. KEVS SENSATION, was through early. FAST DANCE was outrun. NATCHEZ MAID had brief speed. MY TRULY -FAIR, within striking distance from the start, was impeded slightly while moving in the early stretch and continued on willingly. THE POSSE raced for command into the stretch, caused crowding while tiring and was disqualified. G-TWO raced with the pace, was the chief sufferer in the early stretch crowding and dropped back. FLEET ARGO faltered badly CLING TO was outrun. John Choquette, astride MY TRULY FAIR, claimed foul against HOPLITE, and Norman Cox, astride G-TWO, claimed foul against MY TRULY FAIR.
