SEVEN SEVENS went to the front at once, and shaking off BON ZEVIAL after entering the stretch, drew away easily in the last sixteenth. SIR TAW, never too far removed, improved his position in the run home. BON ZEVIAL had her usual early speed but weakened in the stretch. PLAIN ANNIE finished fairly well. AUROCH went to the front at once and, well rated while making the pace, withstood respective challenges from BAHIA and FLEET DREAM to draw out in the stretch and win handily. FLEET DREAM was in close quarters while attempting to get through on the inside of the leader on the far turn and was required to ease, then came to the outside but had little left for the final drive. ALFRED BOULDER was well up from the start and had no excuse. TOP SPINNER closed much ground. SAINT NICHOLAS weakened. BROTHER HAROLD was taken up in the stretch and pulled up lame.
