Seven Shifty Sprinters In River Downs Feature You Say and Miss Revoked Seen Top Belleyue Purse Contenders By W. A. CRUSE Staff Correspondent RIVER DOWNS, California, Ohio, June 1. —Featuring tomorrows eight-race program at this picturesque course is the Bellevue, slated as the seventh race on the menu and seven shifty sprinters have been named to participate. This is an allowance test for four-year-olds and older horses to be contested at six furlongs. You Say, the property "51 R. Felix, Jr., is attaining peak form and may go well in tomorrows fracas. The Southern Pride colt had been campaigning in the Blue Grass r State prior to his lone outing at the local course. In his three attempts at garnering a purse at Churchill Downs he registered a fourth, a second and a sixth, respectively. He finished fifth in his initial performance here but was only beaten a length and a quarter for it all and may have needed that race under his belt as a sharpener for tomorrows main attraction. Miss Revoked finished second here in the inaugural purse on opening day and was in a contending position most of the journey. The Revoked filly who is jointly owned by Mary and Joe Bauer,- was heavily supported in the- wagering that afternoon but could not quite make the grade. However, she is training smartly at present and may make amends for her recent defeat. Early Traffic, who races under the F. M. Ashby banner, a winner at the recently concluded Beulah Park meeting, merits consideration with these and may be a dangerous foe in the headliner. The Menow gelding also campaigned successfully at the Fort Miami meeting this spring prior to his invasion of the Grove City course and might be a sharp factor tomorrow. Posts Son, who is owned by Mrs. D. G. Post and conditioned by Glenn Post, has turned in some promising early morning trials over this course and may take dQwn a minor portion of the purse on a peak effort. Others who will facevthe starter are Sonny Brown, Missou and Our Temper.
