Won driving; second and third the sarne, LEAS SON saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, assumed command when settled for the drive, then was briskly handled to withstand FAIR BIT. The latter, away sluggishly and outrun to the last quarter mile, finished fast under -punishment but could not overtake the winner. PRY PAT made a good bid in the early stretch but faltered when caught in close quarters hearing the finish. FIFTY CARAT raced evenly for a half mile and was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the drive. BONNE IRENE had a rough trip through the stretch. ANN DEL was outrun and had no excuse. HEN PEN was never dangerous. BIT 0 WHIZ raced forwardly placed to the final furlong, then quit. MISS NAYLOR forced HASTY BEEs pace to the stretch, then gave way. HASTY BEE failed to stay after showing speed for a half mile. WENEEDAWYN and SUN-SONG showed nothing. COUNT SWEDAK raced within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, saved ground during the drive and held ROYAL STONE safe. ROYAL STONE, a keen factor from the start, was forced slightly wide by MARTIAL during the last sixteenth but could not overtake the top one when clear. MARTIAL went to the front early, set the pace until . inside the stretch, then bore out while tiring. SHARP FLIGHT raced evenly to the stretch, then weakened. WISE PENNY, on the outside throughout, failed to respond when set down for the drive. SAMROSGEN began poorly, losing all chance. EVEN STROKE raced greenly. PIETS SON showed little.
