COOLHAWAHEE made the pace to the stretch under steady rating and continued on gamely thereafter when subjected to intermittent urging. FLEET MISSY, sluggish at the start, worked her way forward on the outsideto the stretch, responded readily when shaken for the drive and steadily was wearing down the top one. DRY SPELL, always within striking distance, rallied too belatedly to become an endangering factor. SMOKED HAM saved ground to no avail. LAST FLING was unable to attain the lead and tired. LITTLE BUTTS failed to stay. MANTELPIECE was through after three furlongs. THRUST and DOCTORS PRIDE had no apparent mishap. STOLEN JOY never was prominent. The latter came fast when guided to the outside for the drive, anij steadily was wearing down the leader. MISS STIFLE, never far back, failed to make up appreciable ground when hard ridden through" the late stages. BRONZE AGE failed to respond when called upon for his best effort. PINUHTA began tardily and failed to threaten. RUSSET ORANGE was through after a half mile. MAEBLISS never was formidable. CONTINGENCY was a victim of the poor start. ANACOSTIA dominated the early running while under clever rating, recovered readily after hobbling on the fifth hurdle to regain a commanding advantage on the far turn and held sway thereafter, winning with something left. KING GAVIN was under slight restraint during the run down the backstretch, came to the inside for the stretch run, but under brisk pressure was unable to seriously endanger the winner. SPIT 5N POLISH moved up boldly on the outside on the far turn, then weakened when the real test came. MORPHEUS lacked a rally. FAIR KITTY and COIMBRA were outrun. UNFALTERING tired badly. FISHERFOLK assumed a slight lead entering the stretch, faltered slightly when placed to punishment during the drive and was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner. BAN raced evenly through the final furlong without mishap. TEDS TALLY, sluggish early, lacked the necessary rally. RISING TIME was outrun. LOOSE TIP was through early. DISPUTE, fcrwardly placed from the beginning, responded readily when guided between the leaders midway of the final furlong and, under adept handling, was along in the concluding strides to outgame PARLO. The latter assumed a slight lead immediately after the start, gave way to OIL PAINTING on the final turn, but remaining next to the inner rail regained near even terms for the lead at the furlong marker and held on determinedly in a sharp effort. OIL PAINTING moved up boldly on the outside to gain a clear advantage leaving the turn, continued on gamely to the stretch, but weakened slightly when punished and was unable to withstand the top pair. EVENING OUT, always within striking distance, finished with good courage under brisk urging. TALORA failed to make up appreciable ground MISTY MORN, slow to attain best stride, was compelled to take the complete overland route when starting her stretch bid. MISS WEESIE tired.
