UNCLE FUD Quickly set up a good lead, lengthened it on the turn and, under pressure, withstood MISS SANDS. The latter gained a forward position shortly after the start and, saving ground throughout, was slowly making up ground on the winner. CLOSE MISS rallied into the stretch along the inside and finished with good speed. NOON QUEST could not improve position under pressure in the drive. SING AND DANCE had brief speed. PERSEVERE not hung up in the gate, then thrashed around on the fjround under the 9ate before the start and showed nothing in the race. WINSTAY stepped to a walk. Scratched— 13303 Calibrate. 110. AIR SHOW made a good run into contention going to the far turn, and continuing to race outside rivals, was along in the final sixteenth to gain command, then held off ZIPPER. The latter, sluggish early, was going strongest of all from between horses in the final run. CHAPPYS PASS, never too far back, rushed to command into the stretch, then hung in the late yards. BRIGHT ORANGE gave ground gradually after three-eighths. HIGH HEAD, hard urged to keep up early, had little left for the stretch run. RAMBLING STAR was through early. DUN TWORLD stopped suddenly. PINKY JO moved quickly to the tiring leader entering the stretch, assumed command and, after drawing off, was all out to handle SHADOW BOUND. The latter was going strongly in the final run in a sharp effort. RICHARD JR. -gradually improved position but could not menace the top pair. SUZ-DEN-REE, outrun early, finished with a good burst of speed. WINGED FOOT established a commanding lead after the start, started to falter midway of the turn and weakened steadily in the drive. Won driving; second and third the same. BARKING DOG moved quickly to the tiring leader on the final turn and, despite being strongly handled to be kept along the inside, followed the leader out beyond the middle of the track, was finally straightened away and held a clear margin at the finish while kept to pressure. ADMIRAL DEAL, forced to lose ground early on the outside, finished willingly in the stretch run. SAILORSVILLE closed a good gap with a belated burst of speed. RUSH 80UND opened up a commanding lead down the backstretch, suddenly bolted out on entering the stretch and lost all chance, then weakened slightly. PLUMED KNIGHT hustled to gain a forward position, benefitted into the stretch by saving ground but had no late response. ALIDA found best stride when too late. GIN CHAMP moved steadily to the leader leaving the far turn and, in a long drive, wore down GOOD TUNE in the last sixteenth. Tie latter drew cff on the turn and, while holding on with good couraqe, was not quite good enough. SIR RARCO raced slightly wide into the stretch and finished strongly. RARINTGO lacked a solid "response in the drive. DENVER KING had to be steadied along on the inside down the backstretch and then failed to menace. READY ALREADY flattened out early.
