The latter dropped back while beemg steered very wide on the stretch turn and closed fast when settled down for the drive SUNNY DREAM lost ground racing on the outside and finished well. LADY GLADE and NORTELL weakened after a half-mile AIR FROLIC broke slowly, as did COM IL FAUT. MENEMSHA was briskly ridden snowing speed and weakened in the drive. ALLEN G., slow reaching best stride, was steered over sharply to the rail for an opening in the upper stretch and continued strongly to the end STAR SHOW was pinched back sharply passing the five-furlong marker, then raced evenly. VENDOME rushed to the front early, badly attempted to bear out on the turn and was repeatedly checked, but retained the lead to the final sixteenth and "held on well. ALWAYS SUNNY loomed boldly between rivals on the final turn and lacked a final rally. SHESACARD saved ground and threatened at the head of the stretch, then weakened. SCUB forced the pace and held on fairly well. NECKTIE was strongly ridden to be forwardly placed and lacked a sufficient rally. FAULTY was hanging in the final stages.
