Lucky Oscars Famed Relations FORT WORTH, Texas, May 9. — Bud Burmester, while bemoaning the bad luck Texas suffered when Ralph Lowes Gallant Man was beaten by a whisker in the Derby, derived some solace from the fact that his sire, Lucky Oscar, now at Edmond, Okla., is related to both Iron Liege, who won, and Gen. Duke, who didnt start. Iron Liege and Gen. Duke are by the famed Bull Lea, full brother to Nectarine, dam of the Burmester stallion. And if this isnt enough to make the Fort Worth breeder happy, it may be added that Gen. Duke traces to Slow and Easy by the immortal and unbeaten Colin. Slow and Easy blood surges in Gen. Duke through Wistful and Easy Lass, and Lucky Oscar gets his from his sire. Easy Mon, a son of imported Pharamond H. and Slow and Easy. — ADVT.
