GINGER BROWN dropped back after showing good early foot, continued wide when rallying thereafter and wore down WARRIORS STAND near the end. The latter, never far back, was sent into a long lead with a rush on leaving the backstretch and had little left when the real racing began. FELICITATION had a rough trip along the inside and could well have been best. ACE MAR was well placed but faltered when set down for the final drive. DO DOIT was always outrun in a dull effort. RED RIDINGHOOD was through early. INDIAN TRUCE was void of speed, throughout. SIMPLE STAR, recaptured after unseating her rider and running off for about a mile during the post parade, broke alertly from the gate to force the early pace while in hand, wore down SEA FIGHTER under pressure on the final turn and gradually drew clear. The latter had his speed, raced slightly wide and succumbed readily to the winner. LOYAL WOMAN had no apparent mishap in an even effort. PARADISE PEAK was well placed but lacked the necessary rally. NASCO, hustled away from the gate to gain a striking position, raced slightly wide and could not stay with the winner when put to a drive. MISTY FLIGHT raced a trifle wide irr an even effort. NAH HISS, unhurried while being outrun early, swung wide when rallying on the final turn, responded to urging in the stretch and wore down PROMISED LAND. The otter, never far back, moved up fast to gain a narrow advantage at the half-mile ground, continued on gamely while racing between horses and, while unable to contain the winner, was easily best of the others. LUCKY DIP broke in a tangle and moved up steadily on the outside thereafter to race with the leaders to the early stretch where he stopped badly when put to a drive. The latter, forwardly placed from the outset, loomed boldly £J while under pressure on the final turn and, in a long drive, narrowly missed. FABULIST, slow to settle into j his best stride, swung wide when straightened away and was slowly getting to the top pair. SLAIPNER displayed good speed from the outset, saved ground to the stretch where he drifted out slightly, rallied gamely after being neaded to come again and prove clearly best. SPANISH SAN engaged the winner from the outside early, gained a narrow advantage over that one entering the last furlong, but was not quite good enough. OUT TO WIN, slow to reach his best stride, was forced to come wide to make his bid and, while lugging in through the stretch run, finished fastest of all. RETREAT saved ground to no avail.
