TELBRAS move.d into command from the inside after settling into the backstretch, drifted out slightly into the stretch and. under strong pressure, wthstood CHELSEA TOWN. The latter rushed to the leader going to the far turn, lugged in slightly from the outside into the stretch and finished with good courage. CHAPPYS PASS rallied along the inside into the stretch but failed to respond to late pressure. IN CLASS was not a serious threat. BELLDIVER raced in spots and came wide into the stretch. OFF AT 2:23 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won ridden out; second and third driving. QUITE WELL rushed strongly to gain command leaving the far turn, opened up a comfortable lead into the stretch and was kept to light urging. WARM ACE dropped back on the far turn while alcnq the inside, was taken to the outside on the final turn and closed willingly to outfinish MOON DANCER. The latter, between horses until entering the stretch, had no rally under light urging. PLAIN JIM failed to threaten while proving best of the others. FLYING TEDDY tired, as did PEGMURF and PLUMED KNIGHT. Overweight— Moon Dancer. 2 pounds. Moon Dancer claimed by Trowbridge Stable, trainer P. Utman. ROZS GOLD, in hand after an alert beginning, responded to brisk punishment in the drive and was along in the late yards to reach the lead, then withstood AMBLING ANNIE The latter closed with a strong burst of speed after settling into the stretch. WINGED FOOT gained command shortly after the start, drew off into the stretch and held on with good courage. DEFEND loomed a threat from the inside into the stretch but was in close quarters in the entire final run. SHADOW BOUND was carried out entering the stretch and flattened out under pressure. DARLING DONNA D. showed good speed but drifted out entering the stretch and tired. FIGHTING THREE readily gave up the lead to the winner and held on well to outfinish FREE PIONEER. The latter made a menacing move going to the far turn, then hung in the last eighth. SHEU.A SUSAN gradually dropped out of contention. MALLEABLE was pulled up shortly after a half mile when he went lame.
