Y., May 15.— Last nights thunderstorms placed all Long Island ovals in an extremely sloppy condition keeping serious training moves this morning to a bare minimum. The most noteworthy of these was the impressive seven-furlong trial turned in at Belmont by Cain Hoy Stables Red God. The three-year-old Nasrullah colt, working in company with Raising Cain, broke off several lengths back of his stablemate, caught and easily passed him after going a half mile in :50, getting the six furlongs in 1:14*;5, seven furlongs in 1:27%, and galloping on out a full mile in 1:40*5. Red God commenced his racing career in England last year and proved a winner. He was then returned to this country in the fall by owner Captain Harry Guggenheim and during the winter placed in training for the coming three-year-old classics. A stone bruise on a forefoot suffered shortly after a winning effort at Hia-leah forced trainer Woody Stephens to let up on the colt. Todays move indicated that Red Gods Long Island debut is near for present plans call for him to go postward in the Carter Handicap at seven furlongs on opening day at Belmont Park. Claiborne Farms Doubledogdare, voted top three-year-old filly in the polls last year, put in an appearance this morning at Belmont and breezed five furlongs in 1:04, indicating that she can be expected to be seen under colors during the coming Belmont meeting. Trainer Tommy Bell had Traffic Judge out for a serious move, sending the son of Alibhai a suseful five-eighths in 1:02%. Over at Aqueduct, Ralph Lowes Gallant Man, runner-up to Iron Liege in the Derby, put in his first training move since returning from the land of Blue Grass some 10 days ago. The son of Migoli was merely galloping while going a half mile in :52%. A. J. Ryans Big Paddy, a stakes winner last year at two, displayed a definite liking for the extremely sloppy going by drilling a mile in 1:41. Fractions on the move were half mile in :47, five furlongs in 1:00|5, and three-quarters in 1:1325.
