_ . Fillies, Mares Hold Jamaica Spotlight Fair Sex Go in Three Top Events; Pardala Named for Idlewild; Plotter in Mafba By BID LYON JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., May 15— The fair sex gets its big chance here Thursday for the three top events, the fifth, sixth and seventh races, have been fashioned exclusively for fillies and mares. The Idlewild, the sixth event, at a mile and one-sixteenth, has been endowed with the largest purse, ,500, and attracted six fillies and mares topped by D and H Stables Pardala who finished fourth to Little Pache in her last start, the Bed o Roses Handicap. Arrayed against this filly are Mrs. M. T. Jones Korestes. G. H. Bostwicks Huspah, Lucky Vi Stables Falcula, Reginald N. Websters Prophets Bell and Christopher T. Chenerys Willamette. Pardalas strong effort against Little Pache rates her a definite edge over this field and could provide her owners with their first purse of the New York season. Duel Likely Between Pair The Malba Purse, a six-furlong dash for fillies and mares four-year-olds and up, drew seven equally rated sprinters with Harry LaMontagnes Plotter apparently the best of the small field. Scheduled to line up against the Conniver filly are Woolford Farms Equableu, C. V. Whitneys Aiming High, Colonnade Farms Mabe Cee, Ogden Phipps Glamour. Darby Dan Farms Kil-larney Bey and B. B. Davis Jr.s Pro Bono. The dash looms as a duel between Pro Bono and Plotter for both won convincingly in their last outings, the former registering a driving victory over First Asking while stepping three-quarters in 1:12%, the latter making her seasonal bow an impressive one by winning easily at six furlongs while humbling Louise Bell by some seven lengths in 1:13%. Three-year-old fillies hold forth in the fifth, a six-furlong sprint for a purse of ,000 which drew a small but select field of seven fillies. This test will mark the seasonal bow of C. V. Whitneys Magic Forest, surprise winner of last years Gardenia Stakes at Garden State Park. Coupled with Magic Forest will be Snow White who will also be making her seasonal bow and was impressive during the fall season at Belmont. Ogden Phipps So Chic is among the starters and inasmuch as the miss has a good foundation of racing condition under ber she could rule as a slight choice. Others named are Danny Arnsteins Calico Miss, George D. Wideners Lode-stone, Elmendorfs Gossamer and Barclay Stables Ripper Do. who won here last week at six furlongs.
