Announce Results of Voting On Three Issues by Jersey HBPA GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 15. — John Machise, president of the New Jersey division of the Horsemens Benevolent Protective Association, released the results of the voting on three issues that were placed before a general meeting of the group here Monday morning. The voting was 75 for and three against the proposal that there should be a ,500 minimum purse for ,500 claiming races, and a ,000 purse for ,000 claimers only. Voting was 69 for and nine in favor of point number two. proposing only one 4:00 p.m. scratch time the day before the races at each of the Jersey race tracks. Voting was 63-15 on the third and final point before the group, the majority favoring the abolishment of the "dark" Mondays that have been scheduled for the Garden State Park fall meeting. Machise reported that he has made arrangements to meet with the New Jersey State Racing Commission at Garden State Park at an undetermined time next week to discuss the results of the poll.
