BATTLE DWITE took command from DELTA VEE entering the stretch and drew clear while ridden out. DELTA VEE, away fast, made the pace for a half mile but was unable to stay with the winner. JAMBOLLERO lacked early foot. JANISSAR began sluggishly. SPECIAL ANGEL tired after showing early speed. MIKES IMAGE, THE RIGHT SORT, and GO BOGIE GO had no mishaps. SAMOAN drifted to the middle of the track entering the stretch and, responding readily when straight for the drive, wore down RED CORAL and won going away. RED CORAL raced PINEBROKE into defeat and settled into the stretch with a short lead but was unable to hold the too one. JAILBIRD raced evenly for a half mile and then finished strongly. UNCLE HILLY lacked early foot. BIG FREEZE was unable to threaten the leaders. PINEBROKE, prominent to the stretch, failed to stay. LOW CUT showed nothing. LADY OF FASHION, in hand to the last quarter mile, was taken out for the stretch run and, responding to vigorous urging, disposed of GAME CALLED in the last sixteenth. The latter raced by TINTAMAR approaching the stretch and settled for the drive with a good lead but was unable to hold the winner. WATER-SPARROW, outrun early, made a bold bid in the early stretch and then faltered. SPHINXLIKE dropped back after beginning alertly and could not re-enter serious contention. PICNIC GROUND tired during the drive. BONNIE BELLE II. showed nothing. TINTAMAR set the pace until challenged by GAME CALLED and then gave way. Overweight— Picnic Ground, 1 pound. DADS DELIGHT went to the front at once and, after settling into the stretch with a long lead, was briskly handled during the drive to withstand TROCK. The latter, outrun to the stretch closed fast in the middle of the track and was getting to the winner. NEW PRINCE held on well and had no excuse. NET BALL lacked early foot. CHECK ARTIST, away sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention and tired during the stretch run. ROZS GOLD had a rough trip. BLUE MICHE was through after a half mile. FIFTH RACE 5 FURLONGS. ISLAND KING began slowly, was hard hustled after the start to enter serious contention and reached the lead entering the stretch but was not good enough for the winner. TARPOO, prominent to the stretch, tired during the drive. ROYAL REDRESS finished determinedly under urging. NAVAL HERO raced greenly. BILL OF RIGHTS weakened and bore out after showing early foot. NIVRAG made the pace until inside the stretch btu faltered when challenged by the winner. MUSTATO gave a good performance and had no excuse. AMBEHAVING finished fairly well under urging. SABER DUEL raced evenly for a half mile and, after drifting to the middle of the track for the stretch run, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. LITTLE LEAGUER went to the front at once and settled into the stretch with a good lead but was unable to withstand the top one. FIRST LEAD gave a good performance and had no excuse. SHUU made a bold bid in the early stretch and then faltered ADOLPHS JOY could not better his position during the drive. EARLY BRANCH began slowly and was forced wide entering the stretch. AT SUNRISE was never prominent. PRIMER, forwardly placed to the stretch, had nothing left. EL OUED showed nothing. Scratched— 21 OOJam Achilleus. Overweight— El Oued, 1 pound. Shuu claimed by M. R.
